"Sugar and the Bumps" is a four-piece garage funk-punk band based in Raleigh, North Carolina. They are known for an energetic, "danceable" sound and lyrics described as coming from "the depths of debauchery". Led by "The Infamous Sugar", a former one-man keyboard/beatbox musician in Raleigh, NC. The music he plays is keyboard driven dirty pop and his voice is a raunchy baritone and his words are autobiographical and hilarious, it's like Lenny Bruce meets Jon Lord meets Howlin' Wolf...originally from Portland, OR, he has played in Starantula, Add-X, The Divining Rod's, and The Fireballs Of Freedom, to name a few.
Album design depicts the title "Legally Loaded" in letterforms made of prescription pills. The back cover information appears on individual script pads, signed by famous rock-n-roll doctors including Dr. Feelgood and Dr. Wu.
