The Veldt - Noir Bizarre Festival
"Noir Bizarre" was a two-day music festival on Sept 8 and 9, 2023, in the VAE gallery in downtown Raleigh. The event featured 10 acts, art installations, vendors, live DJs and a psychedelic light show. Noir Bizarre is the brainchild of shoegaze pioneers The Veldt (twin brothers Daniel & Danny Chavis) of Raleigh. It incorporated art, culture, food, film and music and feature musicians, visual artists and makers from various creative industries who joined together allowing for a sharing of experiences, history and facilitating a creative and inclusive community.
